The Neighborhood: Allandale is a traditional, family-friendly neighborhood featuring quiet streets lined with mature trees and updated homes from the mid-20th century. Situated along Shoal Creek, the Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest District Park offers sports courts, a pool and a duck pond. Burnet Road, the area's main commercial strip, provides dining options ranging from creative taco joints to foodie hot spots to relaxed pubs. Getting Around: We recommend that guests rent a car during your stay in Austin as many of Austin’s best attractions and fun things to do are scattered around the city and much more convenient when accessed by car. While there are certainly public transportation options such as buses and individual transportation options such as scooters/bikes/mopeds, these options are mainly convenient and readily available around the downtown Austin area and quickly becomes sparse even a couple miles outside of city center. Rideshare apps such as Uber and Lyft are also great options but expenses can quickly add up as Austin rideshare rates are on the higher end and can surge very high during busy times, such as 2AM on weekends and during large events such as SXSW, conferences, F1, etc. Other Things to Note: ★★★ PRE-STAY GUEST VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED ★★★ To abide by all legal requirements and property security rules, you may be asked to provide a copy of your official government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact information, pass through our verification portal, and/or, in some instances, complete a criminal background check.
