ABOUT WHALE’S TALE COTTAGE Just a short drive from the Seattle metro area, let the business of city life slip away as you settle into your new surroundings. Enjoy plenty of space inside and out – this newly remodeled 3,400 square foot home sits on nearly 18,000 square feet of waterfront land. The airy living and dining spaces have plentiful room for the whole group to relax in style with granite countertops, hardwood floors, skylights, and tasteful decoration. Gaze out the wide windows at the impressive Pacific Northwest scenery, or slide open a glass door to greet the sweeping views face to face. When night falls, switch on the electric fireplace to capitalize on the cozy cottage vibes as you curl up with a good movie or book. The balcony sits above a wide lawn overlooking Henderson Bay and offers excellent spectator seating to watch friends and family toss a Frisbee, soak up the sun, or spot one of the area’s resident whales! With four inviting bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a powder room and spacious living and dining areas, Whale’s Tale Cottage comfortably accommodates up to nine. The master bedroom features direct access to the balcony and skylights, as well as its own private ensuite bathroom. Those who plan to cook will love the kitchen – complete with bay views, an open layout to the vaulted living space, and large island and fridge. MORE ABOUT WHALE’S TALE COTTAGE Whale’s Tale Cottage offers a retreat from busy modern life without the hassle. Perfectly located between downtown Seattle, Olympia, and the peninsula’s beautiful Olympic National Forest (approximately an hour’s drive from each), the world is your oyster. Speaking of oysters, some of Seattle’s best are farmed in this area and available from Minter Oyster Company, less than a mile away. At Minter's, you'll also find fresh crab and shrimp for a seafood feast. You can also visit the Minter Creek Salmon & Fish Hatchery to learn more about salmon and how we're helping ensure their survival. From Whale's Tale Cottage access to the beach is at the front of the neighborhood, about three minutes away, at the front of the neighborhood, and accessable via a locked gate. (Key is provided at the house.) ABOUT GIG HARBOR There is plenty to do in Gig Harbor, like exploring the many art galleries, boutiques and fine dining restaurants. If you feel like exploring further, take a harbor tour. Nearby Allyn boasts a PGA golf course at Lakeland Village. Kayak and boat rentals are available in Allyn or Belfair, both about seven miles from the home. Port Orchard, just 15 minutes away, is a mecca for those interested in antiques and treasure hunting. The downtown waterfront not only offers a beautiful scenic view but also shopping, museums, entertainment, galleries and dining, with ferry access from Bremerton and Seattle.
