A queen bed in the master bedroom is comfortably appointed with clean linens for your stay, and is accompanied by two twins in the smaller bedroom for your kids or friends. The home's two bathrooms ensure that you can take baths as long as you like…and that you'll never need to wait on people who take too long in the mornings! ABOUT KALA POINT RESORT This gated timeshare community is nestled in tall evergreens just six miles from scenic Port Townsend and a short drive from Olympic National Park. The resort owns a full mile of beach that guests have exclusive access to. Facilities at Kala Point include a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, exercise room, a small boat launch, free Wi-Fi, tennis courts, playgrounds, picnic tables, grills, and more. ABOUT PORT TOWNSEND Port Townsend began as the City of Dreams, when the founders and early speculators in the mid-late 19th century believed it was destined to become the greatest port on the West Coast. Obviously, those dreams never came to pass, but a near 100 years of economic depression and abandonment left the city a near perfect time capsule, to be discovered and revitalized beginning in the 1970s. Today, the city's downtown core is on the National Register of Historic Places and is famed for its beautifully restored 19th century Victorian buildings and homes. In the decades since, the city has also become a major art and culture hub for Western Washington, most famed for the September international film festival and the Wooden Boat Festival, as well as many others celebrating music and live theatre. The city also hosts numerous sailing and boating events year round, and is home to multiple art galleries and artists' collectives. Not far out of town to the north is Fort Worden State Park, one of three decommissioned artillery emplacements that used to guard the waterways entering Puget Sound. Today, it is open to the public and hosts many of the cultural events the area is known for. The city also serves as a gateway to Whidbey Island via ferry, and the Olympic National Park to the south.
