It is very quiet and peaceful and our house is surrounded by unbothered desert, the natural foliage you will find on the property is mostly pinons, junipers, and prickly pear cactus. With nature comes wildlife, from coyotes, owls, elk, deer, javelina, hawks, jack rabbits, and bobcats to the smaller critters like, birds, mice, snakes, desert gophers, ground squirrels, salamanders, and depending on the time of year, some bugs (butterflies, moths, crickets, grasshoppers, flies, spiders, ants), you never know what might be foraging by.
